Ballet Beginner Workshop

Challenge yourself this summer with a beginner ballet three day workshop. No previous experience is required. Open to teens age 14 years and up and adults of all ages. This workshop is a great way to get in shape and learn the ballet basics and have fun.  Focus will be on correct posture, weight distribution and positioning.

Instructor: Rosemary Saur
Rosemary began her professional training at the Bush Davies School for The Performing Arts in England and later at London Studio Center, where she studied with many prominent teachers such as Noreen Bush, Joy Camden, Tina Young, Ruth French, Bridget Espinoza, Belinda Wright and the well known choreographer Terence Etheridge. Upon graduation she was accepted into the Israeli Classical Ballet where she performed many classic ballet pieces including Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, Serenade and Opus 34. She later joined the renowned modern company, Bat Dor where she performed works by choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, Twyla Tharp, Gene Hill Sagan and Paul Taylor. Rosemary continued her career in England and eventually in Mainz, Germany where she also began teaching ballet. In 2010 she completed the prestigious Professional Dancer’s Teaching Diploma (PDTD) at the Royal Academy of Dance in London. Rosemary loves to teach and choreograph ballet for children and adults of all ages!
